Stress Management Tips and Techniques

If you are like most people, you find yourself in a mad dash from the time you wake up until the time you go to bed. Individuals today are busier than ever before and this contributes a lot of stress, but there are ways to lower the stress of being busy by managing your day and life a little better. Foremost, you have to recognize that it’s okay to say no as so often individuals will over-commit themselves because they feel ashamed about saying no when someone asks something of them. People fear to say no, thinking that this may appear rude or selfish, but finally they land in a situation where there is not time for doing things they desire to do.

Individuals lose track of what is essential, by trying their best to bring pleasure to others, and as a result, they completely bypass their own needs. How often have you been so busy that you skipped lunch? Do you make time to physical exercise? If this applies to you, sit down and make 2 lists. The initial list should hold all the things that are most fundamental to you and your priorities, and the second should contain your list of activities for the whole day. Compare the 2 lists: Do they match up? If not, you need to make some modifications and remember to always make time for that you are.

Here are a number ways that you can control your stress:

financial management: people are often seen doing two jobs or working endlessly to make money to run the family. Take a long, hard, look at your debt state of affairs - are there things that you could cut back on to ease the financial pressure you are under? If you handle your money more carefully, your stress level would drop and you would not have to work so hard.

Organize your office and home life better: How much time do you normally waste trying to look for a file, phone number or something else? Take a look at it. Not to mention the stress you feel each night when you come home to a unkempt, chaotic home.
