Alcoholism Kills

It seems that I hear more and more stories about people who were affected in one way or another by Alcoholism at such a very young age. Whether it being they themselves, their parents, a sibling or relative.  Some people believe that alcoholism is hereditary. I don’t know if that is true or not but I do know that children at a young age can be easily influenced with alcohol if they are exposed to it. I remember having a couple different friends in middle school who said that they would sneak into their parent’s liquor cabinet for a few swigs on a regular basis. I wonder how those kids ended up.

Nowadays, I can only imagine how young these kids are who start drinking. It appears as though they are starting younger and younger as time goes on. Little do they know that the dependency for it grows stronger and before they know it they are addicted and in desperate need of some addiction treatment. It usually takes a while for reality to slap you in the face and let you know that you are in serious danger. When you’re young, you want to have fun and live it up. The average drinker probably drank in high school, then in college and then habitually was making it a part of their daily life.

I know how easy it is to fall into the trap of Alcoholism because from my own experience with drinking, I started out fairly young but not seriously drinking until the end of high school. The year after high school I remember drinking more than I ever had in my lifetime. It continued on and off for about 5 more years and then luckily, I just came to a place within myself where I felt that it was more of a recreational thing than a must-have-all-the-time type thing. Don’t get me wrong, I love to have a glass of wine with dinner or have some drinks with friends on a Friday or Saturday night, but thankfully, I don’t need to worry about checking myself in to an alcohol rehab center.

Sadly, there are millions of people out there who are stuck and in dyer need of special attention. It is comforting to know that there are plenty of alcohol rehabilitation institutions out there who will give their patients all the proper care and attention that they need. I have heard it said time and time again from all the rehab centers out there that unless the patient is internally ready to commit to the healing process then it will be nothing but a big waist of everyone’s time.

Battling alcoholism is literally a matter of life and death. That’s why it is imperative that you seek out the right alcohol rehab program for you. Help is out there. The hardest part about checking yourself in, I think, is coming to that conclusion that you know you need to change and finally realizing that all your unhappiness, pain and misery is all because of your addiction.

When you feel that determination and confidence to want change then please don’t hesitate to call a rehab center, it could very well save your life. Unfortunately, we can’t make anyone do anything that they don’t ultimately want to do. The fact of the matter is, is that sooner or later, this issue does become a matter of life and death. If you are the one who is dealing with this issue, then hopefully you make the decision to seek out help before it is too late.

Information About Hair Transplant Surgery

Many of the methods continue to improve. Today, it is not as easy to spot a person who has obvious - and bad - hair plugs as it once was. The process is still not widely understood however and only a few facts are known to people.

Noticeable baldness is a problem for many American men - an estimated 50% experience hair loss. One alternative men decide to try to deal with their hair loss is the option of shaving their heads entirely. Others take the exact opposite route and have hair transplant surgery. It is true that some men simply accept their hair loss but these men are completely out of sync with the rest of the world.

A major factor in surgical procedures is the fact that they are permanent, and cannot be removed with the simplicity of a wig. Not only will your head may never look the same, you will require a number of surgical treatments. You’re stuck with the procedure once you begin.

You might think that because the surgery is so easy to bear that you can just jump back into your activities, but the truth is, you’ll need plenty of rest after hair transplant surgery. You might also think that it is just your scalp after all, not muscle or bone. In actuality, you have many small wounds following surgery and you’ll need to protect those wounds.

Hair transplant surgery can be a time-consuming commitment: Treatment can often last one to two years. Sometimes you can opt to have a marathon session to try to reduce the number of grafts you have performed. The commitment required for these sessions is grueling in and of itself, often requiring a serious amount of time to be performed.

Normal treatment is not always available to everyone and some people do not have enough hair to undergo hair transplant surgery. In order to obtain the desired results, other procedures can be done at the same time. Most patients agree that these additional procedures are the cause of additional pain.

Though there are few surgeons that will tell you, you should be aware that the grafts you have in hair transplant surgery may not all survive. The hope is that only a few will be lost and the overall result will not suffer. In actuality, however, many grafts simply do not make it.

The typical range of payment for hair transplant treatments is around 12,000 dollars. For example, if you get the procedure done at 30 and die at 70, you have paid 300 dollars per year for 40 years of use and this averages out to about 25 dollars per month. Many “low cost” treatments for hair loss cost much more money than per month. You would actually save by getting the surgery done in the first place.
